The experience combines a helmet-mounted device, a companion mobile application, and a product website into one connected system focused on safer and more intuitive journeys.

    We designed the iline digital experience from the ground up, creating a mobile application that connects riders with the physical Pilot device and supports them throughout the ride - from device setup and route planning to navigation, speed awareness, and real-time alerts.

    Alongside the app, we designed a marketing website that introduces the iline ecosystem, communicates the value of the product, explains how the device and application work together, and guides potential customers toward purchase.

    • Mobile application - designed the complete rider experience from scratch, including onboarding, device pairing, route planning, navigation, speed monitoring, riding alerts, personalization, and device management.
    • Device integration - created clear interaction flows between the mobile application and the physical iline Pilot, covering discovery, connection, configuration, and connection states.
    • Real-time riding experience - designed navigation, speed feedback, turn guidance, warnings, and system states to keep essential information clear and accessible throughout the ride.
    • Marketing website - created a product-focused website that presents iline, explains its key benefits and features, demonstrates how the ecosystem works, and supports the path from product discovery to purchase.
    • Unified product experience - established a consistent visual language across the mobile application, physical product presentation, and website to connect every touchpoint into one recognizable ecosystem.

Challenges

    Building the Riding Experience from Scratch

    The challenge was to turn the iline concept into a complete mobile experience that supports riders throughout their journey. We needed to define clear flows for device setup, route planning, navigation, speed awareness, alerts, and everyday controls while keeping the experience simple and focused.

    Connecting Hardware with the Mobile Experience

    The mobile app needed to work seamlessly with the physical iline Pilot device. We designed the experience around device discovery, Bluetooth pairing, connection states, configuration, and recovery scenarios, making a technically complex process feel straightforward for the rider.

    Turning a New Product into a Clear Story

    As a new connected product, iline needed more than the app itself. The challenge was to create a marketing website that clearly communicates what the product does, how the device and mobile app work together, and why the experience is valuable - guiding potential customers from discovery toward purchase.

Device Connection

The app provides a simple connection flow that allows riders to discover and pair their iline Pilot with a smartphone via Bluetooth. Clear search, connection, and confirmation states guide users through the process and make the device ready for use with minimal setup.

Route Planning & Navigation

The navigation experience allows riders to quickly search for a destination, build a route, and stay informed as road conditions change. Alternative routes and traffic updates are surfaced directly within the navigation flow, helping riders adjust their journey without leaving the active route.

Real-Time Speed Awareness

The speedometer provides immediate visual feedback based on the rider’s current speed and the detected speed limit. Clear color-coded states make it easy to recognize normal riding conditions and speed-limit warnings at a glance, keeping essential information visible without adding unnecessary complexity.

Smart Riding Alerts

The app delivers contextual alerts and navigation notifications directly within the active route. Speed warnings, upcoming maneuvers, and other important updates are clearly prioritized, helping riders react to changing conditions while keeping essential navigation and speed information visible.

Adaptive Light Mode

The light mode provides the same functionality and visual hierarchy in a brighter interface, maintaining clarity and consistency across the experience. Alert preferences, speed tolerance, and visual warning settings remain easy to configure while preserving familiar interaction patterns.

Created as a premium digital showcase, the 3D sequence explores iline through carefully composed angles, fluid motion, and refined lighting. The experience draws attention to the product’s proportions and details while communicating the precision behind its physical design.

A detailed product presentation gives customers a closer look at the iline hardware and its technical capabilities. Key information including design, connectivity, battery performance, charging, compatibility, and device specifications is structured to support a more informed purchase decision.

The iline project brought together a connected hardware product, a mobile application, and a marketing website into one digital ecosystem for riders. We designed the experience around the complete journey - from discovering and connecting the Pilot device to planning routes, navigating, monitoring speed, and receiving real-time riding alerts.
The work also focused on translating technically complex functionality into clear and understandable interactions. Device pairing, navigation, speed awareness, alerts, personalization, and product information were structured to help riders use the ecosystem with less friction while keeping essential information accessible during the ride.
Together, these experiences create a consistent product journey across the app and website, combining everyday riding functionality with a clear presentation of the product and its capabilities.
