what we did
We crafted the complete user experience for Rescript Journal, focusing on a calm, supportive journaling flow that helps users process emotions and build healthy habits. This included a soft onboarding journey that personalizes the experience, clarifies emotional goals, and guides users toward either the Healing or Mindful Journal.
We designed intuitive screens for writing sessions with gentle prompts, session timers, and trauma-informed guidelines, as well as the ability to attach media with smooth loading and error handling. After each session, users are led through a brief breathing exercise to reinforce emotional regulation.
We also introduced simple progress tracking with streaks, session history, and total journaling time, all wrapped in a warm, reassuring visual style that matches the app’s therapeutic purpose.

Design an interface that feels gentle, non-intrusive, and trauma-informed - so users feel calm and safe, but within a clear and structured experience. The key was balancing a therapeutic approach with real functionality: intuitive onboarding, multiple journal types, flexible session settings, timers, reminders, progress tracking, and media integration - all without making the emotional process feel heavy.

Solution
We built a warm, supportive mental wellness app combining personalized onboarding, science-based writing techniques, and a thoughtful daily experience. Two programs - Healing and Mindful Journal - include prompts, timers, breathing exercises, and progress tracking. The entire interface is designed so users feel safe, calm, and at ease at every step of working with their emotions.
