Black Mental Health Canada (BMHC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of Black individuals and communities across Canada. BMHC works tirelessly to advocate for culturally competent mental health services, promote community education, and empower individuals to access the support they need. Through a combination of public speaking, workshops, and providing critical resources, BMHC seeks to address the mental health disparities within the Black community and foster greater understanding and resilience.
what we did

BMHC aimed to streamline their services and expand their reach to ensure better access to mental health support for Black Canadians. They required a platform that facilitated easy access to resources, mental health providers, and community programs.
We collaborated with BMHC to build an engaging and user-friendly website that allowed individuals to access mental health services, find culturally competent therapists, and engage with supportive community programs. Our role included full design and development of the website, as well as integrating resources and features that supported both the organization’s goals and its community.

Goal

Challenge

Build a platform that is both informative and easy to use, for users of all backgrounds and tech-savviness. Integrate resources such as directories of therapists, community programs, and emergency support services. Ensure that the website is scalable and can handle a growing user base.

Solution

We delivered a responsive, intuitive website that included a therapist directory, mental health resources, and integration with BMHC’s various community programs. The platform also facilitates donations and support for BMHC’s initiatives, allowing users to engage with the organization’s mission easily.
