NYFA (New York Foundation for the Arts) provides essential resources for artists, offering job opportunities, grants, residencies, and other career-building options through their Classifieds platform. Our task was to redesign both the user side (front-end) and admin side (back-end) to improve usability, increase engagement, and streamline backend processes for managing listings, payments, and user profiles.

  • what we did

We revamped the user experience for both artists and admins, making it easier to post opportunities, manage listings, and interact with the platform. Our goal was to improve overall efficiency, ease of use, and engagement for both sides, ensuring a seamless experience for all users and administrators.

Challenges

  • 01

    Cluttered User Interface

The previous platform had an outdated, confusing design that made it difficult for users to post listings and find relevant opportunities. This led to frustration and low user engagement.

  • 02

    Slow Admin Workflow

Admins struggled with managing the volume of listings, approvals, and user accounts. The system was disorganized, leading to delays in processing and posting opportunities

  • 03

    Payment Systems

The payment processes for featured listings were not integrated with other platform features, causing delays and confusion regarding payment statuses and listing approvals.
