Company
A digital shop selling party invitations and planning guides for birthdays and baby showers. The target audience is busy parents who want to organize a celebration fast - without the stress. Everything is digital: customers buy, customize, and send invitations by email, or grab full party packages with all the extras bundled in. The brand needed a store that matched that promise - instant, easy, and polished.

what we did
We built the store from zero - design, Shopify development, integrations, and ongoing SEO and analytics. Every decision was made around one core behavior: a parent on a phone, with limited time, who needs to find the right invitation, pay for it, and move on. Three priorities shaped the build:
- Product clarity - making it immediately obvious what’s being sold, what’s included, and how to get it
- Mobile-first experience - since the majority of traffic comes from mobile, the entire UX was designed for thumbs, not cursors
- Discovery and growth - SEO-optimized structure, email capture, and analytics to turn first-time visitors into repeat buyers
Challenges
-
01
Custom Product Availability Logic
Not all products are available for standalone purchase. Some items only exist as part of bundles or add-ons. Implementing this in a way that felt natural to the customer - without dead ends or confusion - required custom Shopify logic that went well beyond standard storefront behavior.
-
02
Making Digital Products Feel Tangible
Selling digital invitations means customers can’t hold the product. The challenge was building enough visual clarity and trust on each product page that a first-time visitor could commit to a purchase without hesitation - no calls, no back-and-forth.
-
03
Mobile Experience for a Mobile-First Audience
Most visitors arrive on their phones, often in the middle of planning a party. The store needed to feel just as fast and frictionless on mobile screens as on desktop - from browsing categories to completing checkout.
Home Page
The homepage leads with what parents actually need: a clear entry point into product categories and an immediate sense of what the brand offers. No clutter, no excess copy - just fast paths to purchase.
Product Listings, Filters and Categories
Products are organized into clear categories - birthday invitations, baby shower invitations, party packages, guide. Filters by theme, character, gender, and color let parents narrow down quickly without scrolling through unrelated items. Related products and Most Popular sections appear throughout to reduce decision fatigue.
Product Pages
Every product page leads with strong visuals - mockups that show exactly how the invitation looks. Customization instructions are surfaced directly on the page, not buried in FAQs. Customers know what they’re getting, how to personalize it, and how they’ll receive it before they even reach the cart.
Bundles and Add-Ons
Full party packages bundle invitations with additional materials at a discounted price. Add-ons let customers extend their order without starting over. The logic behind which products are available individually versus only as part of a bundle is handled cleanly - customers see only what they can actually buy in context.
Mobile-First Design
The entire store was designed mobile-first. Navigation, tap targets, image sizing, button placement - everything was built for one-handed use on a phone. Since most customers arrive from Pinterest or direct search on mobile, this wasn’t optional. It was the primary design surface.
Reviews and Social Proof
Customer reviews are embedded directly on product pages - right where purchase decisions happen. A dedicated reviews integration shows verified feedback from real buyers, giving first-time visitors the confidence to commit without needing to look for reassurance elsewhere.
SEO - Built Into the Structure
SEO wasn’t an afterthought. Dedicated SEO landing pages were created for high-intent search terms digital party invitations - birthday invitations, baby shower invitations. Internal crosslinking connects product pages, guides, and category pages into a coherent structure. Every page has optimized metadata, headers, and descriptive copy written for both search engines and actual humans.
Buyer Guides and Party Planning Content
Beyond products, the store includes planning guides that help parents organize their event from start to finish. These pages serve double duty: they answer real questions buyers have before purchasing, and they drive organic traffic from parents in early planning stages who haven’t committed to a product yet.
Analytics and Support
The store runs on continuous improvement. Regular analytics reviews surface what’s working - which products convert, where users drop off, which pages need attention. The design team stays involved on an ongoing basis, maintaining and refreshing product visuals to keep the catalog current and commercially strong.
Conclusion
The project started as an idea and became a fully functioning e-commerce store - designed, built, and optimized from the ground up.
The result is a store that works the way the customer thinks. Products are easy to find, easy to understand, and easy to buy. Bundles and add-ons extend the order without adding friction. Checkout is fast. Delivery is instant. And the SEO foundation means new customers keep finding it without paid traffic doing all the work.
This project is a full-stack example of what it looks like when design, development, integrations, and marketing are built together rather than bolted on separately - and what that means for a small business competing in a crowded digital space.
